How to Use the New Search Bar

Search Tips

Peek Feature


Search for Graphs

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Graphs" will focus result on Graphs.

  2. You can search for:

    • Graph Name

    • Member Name

    • Organization Name

    • Graph ID (Alphanumeric ID)

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Graph and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Graphs filter

  6. All Graphs will appear. Click on the desired one to open.

  7. The graph will be displayed


Search for a Position

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default.

  2. You can search for:

    • Position Name

    • Team Name

    • Organization Name

    • Member Email

    • Position ID Number (numeric ID)

    • Role Purpose

    • Role Function

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired position and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Positions filter

  6. All positions will appear. Click on the desired one to open.

  7. If you want to open the position on the Team Chart, click Open Team Chart.

  8. To view all graphs for this position or member, click View All Graphs.

  9. To edit the position, click Edit Position. See steps 6-34 in Create a New Position for more info.


Search for a Team Chart

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Team Chart" will focus result on Team Chart.

  2. You can search for:

    • Team Chart Name

    • Organization Name

    • Team Chart ID Number (Alphanumeric ID)

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Team Chart and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Team Charts filter

  6. All Team Charts will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search for a Member

  1. Type the member's name. You can also search by email address or position name.

  2. It will list anything related to the member's name, email address or position. Click on the desired result to open.

  3. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  4. It will show all results that contain the keyword. In this example, it shows all Events, Positions and Graphs.

  5. If there are many results, you can filter by clicking on the desired category.


Search for an Objective

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Objectives" will focus result on Objectives.

  2. You can search for:

    • Objective Name

    • Responsible Position Name for the Objective

    • Organization Name

    • Objective ID (Alphanumeric ID)

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Objective and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Objectives filter

  6. All Objectives will appear. Click on the desired one to open.

  7. To edit the Objective, click Edit.

  8. You can click on the Key Result to open

  9. A larger version of the Key Result will be displayed


Search for a Key Result

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Graphs" will focus result on Key Results.

  2. You can search for:

    • Key Result Name

    • Organization Name

    • Key Result ID (Alphanumeric ID)

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Key Result and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Key Results filter

  6. All Key Results will appear. Click on the desired one to open.

  7. You can click on the Key Result to open

  8. A larger version of the Key Result will be displayed

  9. To edit the Objective, click Edit.


Search for a Knowledge item

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Knowledge" will focus result on Knowledge items, Subjects and Glossary terms.

  2. You can search for:

    • Knowledge item Name

    • Organization Name

    • Knowledge item ID (Alphanumeric ID)

    • Knowledge Subject Name

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Knowledge item and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Knowledge items filter

  6. All Knowledge items will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search for a Knowledge Subject

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Knowledge" will focus result on Knowledge items, Subjects and Glossary terms.

  2. You can search for:

    • Knowledge Subject Name

    • Organization Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Knowledge Subject and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Knowledge Subjects filter

  6. All Knowledge Subjects will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search for a Glossary term

  1. Click Glossary

  2. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. If you select Glossary, it will search only Glossary terms.

  3. Type the glossary term

  4. Hover over the entry

  5. The Peek window will appear with the glossary term

  6. To open it in the Glossary page, click the Open Glossary Term button.

  7. f it's not listed, click Show all results.

  8. Click the Glossary Terms filter

  9. All Glossary Terms will appear. Click on the desired one to open.

  10. The Glossary term will be displayed

  11. To open it in the Glossary page, click the arrow.


Search for an Event

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Events" will focus result on Events.

  2. You can search for:

    • Event Name

    • Event Type

    • Organization Name

    • Event ID (Alphanumeric ID)

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Event and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Events filter

  6. All Events will appear. Click on the desired one to open.

  7. The Event will be displayed

  8. To edit the Event, click Edit Event. For more info, see steps 4-11 in Edit an Event.


Search for an Alert

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default. Prefixing search with "Alert" will focus result on Alerts.

  2. You can search for:

    • Alert Name

    • Alert Type

    • Alert Status

    • Organization Name

    • Alert ID Number (numeric ID)

    • Alert UUID (Universal Unique Identifier)

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Alert and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Alerts filter

  6. All Alerts will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search for Graph Groups

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default.

  2. You can search for:

    • Graph Group Name

    • Organization Name

    • "personal graph group"

    • "graph group" for Organization Graph Group

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired graph group and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Graph Groups filter

  6. All graph groups will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search for a Team

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default.

  2. You can search for:

    • Team Name

    • Organization Name

    • Team ID Number (Alphanumeric ID)

    • Member Name

  3. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired Team and it will open.

  4. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  5. Click the Teams filter

  6. All Teams will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search for Role Functions and Purposes

  1. Type words or phrases (using quotes) that appear the Role Purpose or Function

  2. Results will include positions where the search term appears in the Purpose or Function. Click on the result to show the position on the Team Chart.


Search in a different Organization

  1. If you have more than one Organization, a globe icon will appear. Click on it to see all Organizations. "All" is the default setting, which means that when you do a search, it will check all Organizations.

  2. Select the desired Organization

  3. It will show the Organization name. You can now search in the selected Organization.


Search for Knowledge Views

  1. Type the name of the View, partly or fully.

  2. It will list anything that contains the keyword or part of it, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired View and it will open.

  3. If it's not listed, click Show all results.

  4. Click the Views filter

  5. All Views will appear. Click on the desired one to open.


Search using multiple unrelated keywords

  1. You can search by a specific category or All. All is set by default.

  2. Type the keywords. In our example, we use the member's name and a graph name. This should find a graph that with the name "promo" that is assigned to "Oliver".

  3. It will list anything that contains the two keywords, such as graphs, objectives, graph groups, alerts, etc. Click on the desired item and it will open.


Show recently searched records

  1. Click the Search bar

  2. It will list the most recent keywords that were used in the Search bar

  3. You can expand the list by clicking the arrow


Search Phrases using quotes

  1. Type the desired keyword in quotes.

  2. It will list anything that contains that specific keyword or phrase in the exact order.


Open a Position on a Team Chart

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Team Chart icon to open


Open a Graph

  1. Type the graph name

  2. Hover over the Graph. The Peek window will appear.

  3. The graph will appear. You can click on it and it will open on the Graphs page.

    NOTE: Below the graph, there is additional info related to the graph, such as total number of entries on the graph, Type of graph, when it was created, the highest and lowest value.


Open all Graphs for a Position

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Graph icon to open all graphs for this position


Open a Position's Graphs in Data Entry

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Data Entry icon to open this feature. For more info, see Data Entry.


Open an Objective

  1. Type the Objective name

  2. Hover over the Objective. The Peek window will appear.

  3. To edit the Objective, click Edit Objective.

  4. The progress of the Objective is displayed

  5. To open the Objective, click Open Objective.

  6. It shows the member and Team that this Objective is assigned to.

  7. You can also see the due date of the Objective and when it was last updated

  8. Lastly, it shows the progress of the Key Result. To open the Key Result, click Open Graph.


Open Objectives for a Position

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Objectives icon to open all Objectives for this position. For more info, see An Introduction to Objectives & Key Results.


Open Events for a Position

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Events icon to open all Events for this position. For more info, see Events.


Open Alerts for a Position

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Alerts icon to open all Alerts for this position. For more info, see Alerts.


Open Knowledge assignments for a Position

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click the Knowledge assignments icon to open all Knowledge assignments for this position. For more info, see Knowledge - Personal and Knowledge - Teams.


Open all Glossary terms that share the same tag

  1. Type the glossary term

  2. Hover over the entry

  3. The Peek window will appear with the glossary term. Click the tag.

  4. All glossary terms that are under the same tag will be displayed


Edit Position

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click Edit Position. For more info, see steps 7-25 in Create a New Position.

Manage Member

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click Manage Member. For more info, see Manage Member.


View Status for a Member

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. The Status will be displayed. For more info, see Member Status Options and step 24 in Create a New Position.


View Custom Attributes for a Member

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. The Custom Attributes will be displayed. For more info, see Custom Attribute Fields.


View Away Periods for a Member

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. The Away Periods will be displayed


View Temporary Position Assignment for a Member

If a member has a Temporary Assigned Position, it will be displayed in the new Search bar.

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. The "Temporary" label will be displayed


Send a message on Slack

  1. Type the member name

  2. Hover over the position. The Peek window will appear.

  3. Click Message on Slack. If this option is not available, you need to enable Slack. For more info, see Slack Integration.
