TIPS & TRICKS: How to Assign a Graph to a Position or Member

Written by Oliver Zdravkovski

Graphs are most effective when they have a clear owner. In MetaPulse, the person responsible for a graph is expected to update and monitor it regularly, helping ensure performance data stays accurate and up to date.

Assigned graphs automatically appear in the responsible person's Dashboard View, making them easy to track and manage.

If your organization uses a Team Chart, we recommend assigning graphs to positions rather than individual members. This keeps graph ownership tied to a role, ensuring continuity when team members change.

Organizations without a Team Chart can assign graphs directly to members.

Why assign graphs to positions?

  • Graph ownership stays with the role, even when people change.

  • New team members automatically inherit the graphs for their position.

  • Graphs remain active if a previous position holder leaves.

  • Graphs assigned directly to members move with them if they change roles.

  • Graphs assigned to members are archived if the member is deleted.

To assign graphs to positions or members, follow these steps:

  1. Hover over the 3-dot menu on the graph

  2. Click Edit Graph (If you don't see this button, it means you don't have Admin permissions to access this menu. If you need access to this option, please check with your Admin.)

  3. Scroll all the way down and click the Permissions drop-down menu

  4. If you want to assign the graph to position, click the Position tab, otherwise click the Member tab.

  5. Select the position or member depending on the tab you are in

  6. Click Save Changes

  7. The member name will be displayed, including the position if the graph was assigned to a position.
