You can now use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to attest your study assignments.

This adds an extra layer of security to your document-signing process. When enabled, members must verify their identity using a one-time code before they can attest the study assignment. This ensures that only the intended recipient can complete the signing process.

To enable the document signing with 2FA, the document needs to be in edit mode. Then follows these steps:

  1. Expand Advanced Options

  2. Select the Require authentication to attest option

Once the document is published and the study assignment is sent, the members can study and attest / sign the document.

There are 3 possible scenarios on how members can sign documents with 2FA. This depends on how they log into MetaPulse:

Username / Password

If they use username / password to log in, they will be asked to provide their password when they try to attest the document:

Once they enter the password and click Verify Password, the document will be attested / signed.

2FA - by using an Authenticator app

If they use 2FA to log in, they will be asked to provide their password when they try to attest the document:

Once they enter the password and click Verify Password, the document will be attested / signed.

SSO - Single Sign-On

If they use SSO to log in, they will be asked to provide a 6-digit code which is sent to them via email:

Once they enter the password and click Verify Code, the document will be attested / signed.
